Haul week

I'm not usually into buying a whole lot of makeup at once because I am a cheapskate, but for some reason this week I actually spent enough money at once to call it a proper haul >-> And no, I am not particularly proud of it, but I had a really stressful week and I had to get my mind off it somehow...

This is the resulting damage -->

Top: Make Up Forever Dual FIber Brush 55N
Middle: YSL Rouge Volupté #2 Blond Sensuel, MUFE HD Blush #6, Lancôme Color Fever Gloss #384 Rose Ballerine, Chanel Aqualumière #2 Monte Carlo
Bottom: GWP Bourjois pouch, Healthy Mix Powder Foundation in Fair Skin, Healthy Mix Serum in #52 Vanille, Kiehl's Lip Balm #1

To further control damage, most of these items came with a good bargain so my conscience and my wallet feel better ;) I had a 20% discount at Sephora on one purchase so all the items from the top and middle rows were cheaper, except for the Chanel liptstick which I bought on impulse in another store. Bourjois were having a special sale where you had a 5€ discount on purchase of two items from their lineup and the pouch as a GWP. And I'm most proud of getting the Kiehl's lipbalm as a GWP from a magazine, so it only cost me 2€ instead of the store price which is 10€. I had been wanting to try this lipbalm since once of my friends said it was the best she had ever tried so I hope it will be working for me too :)

I love cream blushes so I was really excited to buy the MUFE HD Blush. I was a little disappointed when the make up artist told me and showed me how the result looks much better with a brush application. One of the reasons why I like cream blushes is that they are usually fuss-free and I am able to use my fingers to apply them. So I bought along with the HD Blush the dual fiber brush, which happens to be the first professional brush I have ever owned. I asked the MUA what she thought about the MAC 187 because I considered buying it. In the end I chose the MUFE brush because I figured it was probably good enough for my personal use since I am nowhere near a pro and don't want to spend almost double the price on a brush. Anyhow we'll see how it goes :) I'm really impatient to try the blush though I hope it gives me a good flush to go to work on Monday :)

The lip products were totally bought on impulse, I wanted to buy something from the Lancôme Spring Collection and I liked the baby pink color of Rose Ballerine so I went for it. I was really surprise to discover the lavender scent when opening the tube. Review later when I get to try it.

YSL Rouge Volupté #2 is the first lipstick I own from this brand, I think most bloggers love these lipsticks, and I can see why. Very creamy, very opaque, a little product goes a long way. #2 Blond Sensuel is a peachy nude color, great if you want to achieve the Tsubasa Masuwaka Garyu Look. It's a good dupe for Mac's Crème de Nude, although I think Mac is more pink while the YSL is more orangey.

Chanel Aqualumière is a "sheer colour lipshine", the color is a deep rose with gold speckles, I really like it.

I used to have the Healthy Mix Foundation in #52 Vanille, and I really liked it, made my skin dewy and did not feel like I had foundation on. Unfortunately it did not survive my trip to Malaysia, I think the hot and cold temperatures made it go bad. I'm excited to try the serum, the texture looks like it's even finer than its predecessor. I rarely use powder because I think it dries out my skin, so I'll see how it goes with Healthy Mix. The GWP pouch is pretty nice, quite well made and roomy.

Happy New Year of the Rabbit to all! This is actually my year hehe :) My resolution is to upload and take care of my blog better, the rabbit inside me is too lazy to keep up unfortunately...
