KARA inspired tangerine smokey eye tutorial

Whoops big pictures overload! Next time I'll resize them smaller. The look was originally supposed to be inspired from the make up in the Lupin mv but it became like this. Enjoy!

Pictures from Newsen

Start off with a clean face, apply primer and/or base

Apply a gold orange eyeshadow. I used Urban Decay Baked. The glitter is from my eyeshadow base, a cream colored eyeshadow by Lancôme

Apply a black eyeshadow on the lower part of the lid and pack the color on the outer corner. Blend well.

Carefully line your upper and lower lash line, in a double wing shape like Goo Hara or a regular flick like Park Gyuri. I felt like doing the double wing.

Define your brows (I usually use a regular brown matte eyeshadow with an angled brush), apply some shimmery white eyeshadow or liner under your inner corner (I used MUFE Aqua Eyes in white 14L) and apply mascara (I used Lancôme Hypnôse but I brush a lot of it out because I don't like the look of mascara). Use fake eyelashes if you can, I know I can't :p

Playing with my hat lol:

And finally, a little Photoshop fun:

Blog newbie + NOTD

Ok so I just found out that I chose the "moderate comments before publishing" option so I have to check the comments before allowing them. I'm so sorry I didn't notice I had three comments waiting for me since Feb 26!!! I'm such a noob at this blogging thing haha. I'm really happy to receive comments and I promise I will pay more attention in the future!!!

Off to the nails, nail art is my latest obsession and I'm starting to collect nailpolishes woo!! Nail art isn't so popular in France if you compare it to the US, and it's definitely not as popular as in Asia. Nail salons are pretty expensive (I know my mom paid about 40-50€ to get gel nails at a salon in Chinatown!) and people are not really creative with their nails, past the classic French manucure. I doubt I will ever see someone with rhinestones or ribbons on their nails. I love this though!! I read an issue of a Japanese nail magazine and fell in love with every design. I'm trying to emulate them but I have limited resources (for now!)

I used French drugstore brands. The red polish is from Les Cosmétiques, it's a gorgeous dark metallic red. I paired it with a transparent glittery polish from Debby Colorplay, which I bought because it looks somewhat like Nicole by O.P.I. Winter in Glitterland which Mona raved about. Like I said, girls around here don't really decorate their nails in fancy ways so I got a lot of questions and compliments for my nails :)

I'm holding my bottle of Biosilk Silk Therapy haha

The LOL party

I'm currently working on a tutorial for the KARA Lupin look but I'm waiting for proper lighting when I have time (it's currently snowing around here, so the lighting is meh).

Next week three epic parties are taking place, unfortunately because of classes I can only go to one of them. The theme for the party is Wild Animals, I'm thinking of using Michelle Phan's Tiger Eyes Tutorial to come up with something nice. I looove theme parties, they are a good excuse to go heavy handed on the make up and say it's to fit the theme :p

Last week one of my friends invited us to have dinner at her place. It all started well, we ate and discussed some things and others, and then we started drinking and having shots. Lol this could not end well. Actually it did, because we decided to go to some guy's birthday party. I did not even remotely know the guy but we figured three decently pretty girls can always find their place at any party lol. The theme of the party was "Face Disguise", it does not make much sense but we decided to paint our faces. My friends chose to draw a flower and a star on their faces and I ended up with the heart.

We had a hard time finding the place where the party was, we were asking people on the streets but we would always get different answers. While we were walking around, one of my friends kept saying "this is so LOL", thus the title of my entry ;) It turns out that we were looking for n°5 while the party was actually at n°2. We finally figured this out when a bunch of guys from the party started yelling at us from their balcony :p

The guys welcomed us enthusiastically but the three girls who were there just death-stared at us lol. I guess we were stealing the spotlight from them or something. The party was fun, we got to talk to a lot of people. I like to "branch out" of my usual social circle and talk to random strangers. But we left early because everyone was tired and I had classes the morning after. Can't wait for the next party!

Happy Face!

I wish I knew how to put on fake lashes like him

I need to buy this kind of glasses to bring at parties
